... is the quality of it's socks.
You heard me. I've got some pretty strong political and economic opinions- that I'm not going to get into right now. I'm serious though, you know things are tanking when your old pair of socks are more sturdy, and feel a world more comfortable than a new pair from the same brand.
Socks have always had elasticity, but the amount of elastic in these new socks is outrageous- they practically fit like a glove- and they shouldn't. A decent pair of economy socks needs a little breathing room. They need a comfortable amount of padding, not just on the bottom, but on all sides. The worst thing about this new pair is that in order for the heels to fit my heels, they have to stretch a good deal. Besides the fact that my relatively newer pairs of socks tear faster than ones I had in the past, I have a good deal of confidence that these new socks aren't going to outlast my old ones.
Am I crazy?
